Some people will say
everything is perfectly ok
but there seems to be
a fallacy in their logic.

Their arguments have
been made for them,
and not a single new perspective
will they every gain.

Repeating the ad populum
only proves your wrong.

Take a deep breath of the cold wet air and remember. The smell takes you on a ride through your memories, and right there in front of your own eyes she stands. Exactly how you always remember her, and for a moment your whole body is filled with laughter and joy, but as quickly as she came she dissapears. Her body whisked away into the night, and you stand staring into the dark wind. Now emptiness fills your body and pain fills your heart. You try and forget hoping the pain will go away, but it doesn’t. Time is the enemy of people killing us off one by one, and destroying the memories of people we once loved. In the end time kills us all.

The World Burns

Lets watch the world burn.
This is just the beginning so take a step back and enjoy the flames.
Soon we will have to act, but there is nothing we can do now.
Nothing can stop the eternal flames from climbing and spreading and consuming.
It burns everything in its path, and it will never stop.
Look into the sky and see the death it has already caused.
Smoke filled skies, ash rain, and the firey eye just over the hill.
The fire has a mind of its own, and its only goal is to destroy.
It eats trees like toothpicks, and moves on to houses for dinner,
But its appetite will never be filled.
Everything it touches will be consumed,
Like the King Midas and his gold touch.
This is how the world as we know it ends,
The earth has had enough of greed,
And this is how its vengeance is carried out.
Take one last look,
This is how the empire falls.

This is the beginning of a short story I am writing.

I Finally Got To See The Sky

I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen the sky blue and clear. My memory seems only to hold the smoke filled ashen sky, eerily red from the flames. The clouds of smoke were so thick the sun could’t penetrate the endless mass, and the only light came from the fires. It was light like the dead. The light of Hell.
You might say nature started it, but it would be more accurate to say that this had been in the making long before, and the fire was just the catalyst. There had been a drought like none the world had ever seen, worse than the famous “Dust Bowl.” It affected nearly every state in America, every country around the world. Things were bad, but I guess they were still better than they are today. You see the world today is murderous. There is fighting and death everywhere. Nobody is safe, and everyone has suffered. Nearly half of the world population was wiped out in the beginning, and another quarter in the fighting that went on afterwards. The people had changed. I had changed.
